About The Jesus Way India

The Jesus Way India began full-time in Secunderabad, in January 1998. We began with a Life Development School; since that time, we have graduated over 150 students. 95% of graduates have taken what we taught and applied it in their daily lives. Out of the second class, we planted one Community Development Center; it has expanded to six other Community Development Centers in the surrounding villages. Currently, our main thrust is the children’s hostel/residential school. In February 2000, we took in our first child; there are now over 300 children full-time, plus 125 day students from area villages.

We believe,the Bible gives us clear direction as to what we should do. For I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you invited me into your house. I was naked and you gave me clothes. I was sick and you took care of me. I was in prison and you visited me... When did we? ... When you did it to the least of these you were doing it to me! ( Bible - St. Matthew )

	We are willing.
	We are obediant
	It is our passion to help the hurting.
	It is what was asked of us by God.

We believe each person plays a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission- “To go out into all the world and make disciples...” Mark 16:15. Jesus also encourages us to live our lives so He will be able to say, “I was hungry and you fed Me; I was thirsty and you gave Me water; I was a stranger and you invited Me into your home; naked and you clothed Me; sick and in prison, and you visited Me” Matthew 25:35-36 (NKJV).

Our values define who we are! We find our values directly in the Bible—there is no other authority on how we should live our lives. We believe we should place value on the things Jesus places value on, and these should become the standards that we live by.

	Faith Our faith is our confidence and trust in God and is the very foundation of our Christian life. Faith makes our lives a fragrant offering to God; it is what pleases Him.
	Virtue Virtue is our moral excellence—excellence that is measured by God’s Word as our standard for living. We will be pure in every word and deed. We will conform our lives and conduct to moral and ethical principles and uprightness, living in a way that honors God.
	Knowledge We must make it our purpose to know God and His ways. It is in knowing Him more that we will become more like Him. As we are made more and more into the image of God, our lives will glorify Him.
	Self-control Displaying self-control is one of the ways we know God’s fruit is coming to bear in our lives. It involves self-discipline and levelheadedness; it means we think before we say or do; it is responding, rather than reacting.
	Perseverance Perseverance is a steady persistence in adhering to a course of action, belief, or purpose. It is not giving up no matter what the adversity or trial. Perseverance helps to create in us a strong character for God that cannot be easily removed.
	Godliness A Godly life comes from God and is a life conformed to the laws and wishes of God. It practices holiness and righteousness. We will depend on God, submit to His will, be grateful for His sacrifice, and obedient to His plan.
	Brotherly Kindness Brotherly Kindness is having affection for our brothers and sisters and gives us a true sense of family. It is an outward proof that we love God. It will cause us to think twice before we judge one another or say something wrong about them.
	Love Love is the bottom line reason we do anything for God. Love for God, love for each other, and love for the lost gives meaning to all corresponding actions. It is what will hold us together during the difficult times; it is shown in our commitment to God, to others, and to our cause.
